Barbeque Country Style Ribs
Ingredients
- 3lb WWC Pork Country Style Ribs
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 4 cloves of fresh garlic
- 1 cup barbeque sauce
- baking sheet
Barbeque sauce (if you want to make your own)
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons light-brown sugar
- 1.5 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
Directions
- 1. If you are making your own barbeque sauce simply mix all ingredients together in a small mixing bowl.
- 2. Wrap a medium-sized baking sheet in aluminum foil. Preheat oven to 275.
- 3. Dry ribs by patting them with paper towels. In a small bowl mix seasonings then rub it on both sides of the ribs placing them on the wrapped baking sheet. Let sit for 40 minutes.
- 4. Cover ribs with aluminum foil and bake for 2-2.5 hours or until tender. Uncover ribs and drain juices, then baste with barbeque sauce and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
Low and slow is the name of the game, if ribs are not fall-apart tender add 15-minute increments until desired tenderness is achieved.
Feel free to trim around the fat but the fat on these ribs makes them juicier and more flavorful.
