Our egg laying hens are culled each year to make way for a fresh batch of layers. These chickens make for delicious and incredibly healthy stews and stocks. They have been fed a ration of WWC raised grains including corn and barley along soybean meal purchased from the local co-op. Along with their ration they also have access to fresh pasture and are moved through our lush pastures daily. For chicken flavor and amazing fat color they can't be beat! Since they are older birds they are not ideal for roasting, but do well with a long stew or day in the crock pot.
